Chinese traveler Guo Chuan disappeared during an attempt to break the record for crossing the Pacific Ocean alone.
The US Coast Guard is currently in the search near the Hawaiian Islands, where sailing trimaran was seen without the traveler on board.
Team Support Guo Chuan lost touch with him about 10 am Moscow time on Tuesday.
The traveler departed San Francisco on October 18, hoping to arrive in Shanghai after 20 days (the current record of this voyage is 21 days).
