Ville Sagnol is no longer the head coach of the Georgian national team. The French specialist has defeated the team in the harsh 2021 season.

Ramaz Svanadze has been appointed as the new coach of the Georgian national team. Contract with a 42-year coach until the end of 2028. Previously worked with the Georgian youth team U-21.

During the hour of Sagnol's work on behalf of the national team, Georgia played 57 matches. Under his leadership, the team for the first time in its history made it to the final part of the European Championship.

At Euro 2024, Georgians were able to leave the group and reach the 1/8 finals, where they lost to Spain.

The start of the new season of the League of Nations for Georgia is in sight. In the first round of the 2026/27 tournament, the team lost to Pivnichny Ireland with a score of 0:1.

The Georgian national team will play its next match in the tournament on the 28th of Wednesday against Ukraine.
