Team Ireland head coach Geimir Gadlgrimsson has been announced for the upcoming Nations League matches against Israel. The team coach stated that these fights are considered not only as a sporting competition due to the situation in Gazi.

" We play against Israel, we don’t play against Israel,” the coach reports to The Irish Times.

The first competition between the teams will take place on the 27th of April near Debrecen, Ugorshchina. The match was moved to neutral ground. A repeat game is planned for the 4th round in the Serbian Backa Topoli, as well as on the neutral Maidan.

There is a significant discussion in Ireland about these fights.. The Football Association of Ireland went up to UEFA with complaints not to match the teams of Ireland and Israel in the upcoming draws, but the European Football Association was not satisfied with the request. UEFA explained that such brutality is viewed as part of the security situation.

Previously, the Irish FA also called on UEFA to look into the nutrition of Israel's participation in European tournaments. Currently, the Irish team will continue preparations until the scheduled matches.

Gallgrimsson's statement has already provoked a reaction from the Israel Football Association. There they criticized the words of the Irish coach and said about the possibility of training before UEFA.
