Edouard Mendi officially announced the end of his career with the national team. The goalkeeper tested for Senegal with all the rocks, debuting in 2018, and becoming one of the key figures in the history of the national team.

Mendi's greatest achievement with the national team was winning the 2022 African Cup of Nations. In the final, Senegal defeated Egypt in a penalty shootout, and the goalkeeper himself saved one of the shots and helped the team win the tournament for the first time in history.

Mendi also represented Senegal at the World Championships 2022 and 2026. In the spring of this year there are nominations for the Yashin Trophy - in the city of the most beautiful goalkeeper of fate.

On the club level, Mendi now plays for the Saudi Arabian Al-Ahli. Previously gateway for Rennes, Chelsea and Reims.
