UEFA has announced the leading division of representation of countries in European competitions for the 2027/28 season, in which Russia is among the others.

According to the published document, once Russian clubs are admitted to international competitions, the country is subject to European Cup quotas.

The Russian champion can claim a place from Liza as champions from the first qualifying round. Volodar of the Russian Cup has the opportunity to start in the first qualifying round of the European League. Teams that finish in another third place in the Russian Championship will forfeit the right to compete in another qualifying round of the Conference League.

At the same time this division is in front. The presence of Russia in the document does not mean the automatic return of its clubs to UEFA tournaments. Russian teams are deprived of international relations, and their fate in the 2027/28 season is subject to possible sanctions.

In 2022, UEFA and FIFA removed Russian clubs and teams from their tournaments after the beginning of a large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. As a result, Russian teams do not take part in European cups, and the national team missed out on a low number of international tournaments.
