Girona continues its recent start to the Segunda season. In the match of the other round, the Catalan team lost to Cordoba on the road with a score of 1:2, and Ukrainian striker Vladislav Vanat was again left on the bench.

After the match, Geroni head coach Quique Alvarez explained Vanat's presence on the field with health problems.
