Shakhtar is considering the possibility of staging home matches of the Champions League for the new season at Stamford Bridge near London.

According to BBC information, the Ukrainian club is already negotiating to move to the Chelsea stadium.

Shakhtar has not been able to hold matches at the Donbas Arena since 2014 after the Russian occupation of Donetsk. Then the team received opponents from Kiev and Lviv, and held European Cup matches at the stadiums of Nimecchina, Slovenia and Poland.

In addition, Stamford Bridge is a priority option for Shakhtar. The Chelsea Arena is designed to accommodate nearly 40 thousand spectators, which will give them an extra bonus for other London stadiums that were viewed by the Ukrainian club.

Zokrema, Shakhtar considered the possibility of holding matches at Craven Cottage Fulgham and Brentford Communities. However, offending arenas have less vengeance, so Stamford Bridge allows them to insure a larger number of patients.

According to Dzherel, the potential move to London has no commercial motivation. Shakhtar and Chelsea support these days after the transfer of Mikhail Mudryk to the London club in 2023, as well as the ongoing beneficial initiative of Game4Ukraine.

The underlying reason for choosing London is the significant Ukrainian community near the capital of Great Britain. According to other data, there are approximately 32 thousand Ukrainians living in London who were born in Ukraine, while the number of people of Ukrainian origin in Great Britain is estimated at approximately 100 thousand.

The holding of Shakhtar's matches at Stamford Bridge also coincides with Chelsea's participation in the European Cup after tenth place in the Premier League last season. Currently, for the remaining weather of the additional matches, permission from UEFA and the local authorities of Hammersmith and Fulgham is necessary.
