Atlanta United is close to completing the transfer of Rennes and Swiss international striker Breel Embolo.

According to The Athletic, the American club is willing to accept the transfer of the 29-year-old forward.

The transfer amount is approximately 18 million dollars (15.5 million euros). If the transition is based on such minds, Embolo will become one of the top 5 most expensive football players in the history of MLS.

Last season, Embolo played 34 matches for Rennes in all tournaments, scoring 10 goals and providing three assists.

Before the French club, the striker previously played for Monaco and Borussia Monchengladbach, and began his European career in Basel.
