Dynamo coach spoke about preparations before the match against the Azerbaijani club, the personnel situation and the team’s reaction after the defeat to PAOK.

Dynamo head coach Igor Kostyuk spoke with journalists ahead of the first match of the third qualifying round of the Conference League against Karabakh.

The coach of the Kiev team delivered a press conference with a reaction to the situation in Ukraine, indicating that the situation is affecting the psychological state of the players.

" It’s even more painful when terrorists and aggressors destroy our houses and kill civilians. It’s psychologically important if you can’t be in charge of your family at this moment.. Once again I’ll go naked, it’s more painful and it’s important to get into trouble,” said Kostyuk.

The head coach of Dynamo also commented on their upcoming rival and said that the team gained ground after the confrontation with PAOK.

" We played against a difficult and clear team, which competes in a strong European championship, but lost as a result of our mercy.

It is important for me to develop my skills after the match with PAOK and learn how the team is responsive to mistakes and corrects them. Football has a lot of graces, and it is important how people react and correct them. We will be thoroughly watching from match to match. This is our robot.

The progress of the team is determined by the responsibility to respond correctly to respect and not indulge in old favors. I hope that we are more responsive to amends and correct them.

Karabakh is a difficult opponent; last season Liza was the champion. At the same time, we are insured on our own, we are analyzing, we are fully understanding. We’re waiting for everything to go further,” the Dynamo press service quotes Igor Kostyuk as saying..

Okremo coach expressed the importance of participation in European cups, despite the folding calendar.

" European Cup matches stimulate the growth of both young and mature players.

Championship matches are important in terms of gaming practice, and even if we have two warehouses, we can play everything. We blame the competition, and warehouses may change from match to match. We will be able to be competitive both in the championship and in the European Cups,” added coach Kiyan.

Kostyuk also spoke about the personnel situation in the team before the game with Karabakh.

" Kostyantyn Vivcharenko is still in the hospital. Kirilo Osipenko, Vladislav Zakharchenko and Denis Popov are now living in Kiev.

Mikola Mikhailenko does not train in the outdoor group, and is also undergoing renewal. All other players are staying with the back group and preparing for the match,” said Igor Kostyuk.

The Dynamo - Karabakh match will take place on 6 September at 20:00 Kyiv time.
