Borussia Dortmund announced the signing of the Greek attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas.
The 18-year-old footballer transferred to the German club from Genk and signed the agreement, insured until the 30th of June 2031.
According to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, the total amount for a transfer with secured bonuses in stock is approximately 32 million euros. This transfer became the most expensive sale in the history of Genk.
Previously, a record weekend transfer of the Belgian club was sold to Tolu Arokodara to Wolverhampton for 26 million euros in the spring of 2025.

On the international level, Karetsas has already made his debut for the Greek national team. The national team has played 10 matches, recording three goals and one assist.
