Wolfsburg's great head coach Mark van Bommel could become coach of the Belgian national team. Insider Nikolo Skira reports this.

According to Dzherel's information, the Royal Belgian Football Association has already begun negotiations with the 49-member Dutch player, confirming his contract until the end of the upcoming.

Apparently, the RBFA is looking for a new coach for the team after the departure of Rudi Garcia, whose contract expired after the 2026 emergency, where Belgium reached the quarterfinals, losing to Spain (1:2).

Van Bommel has been without work since 2024, after leaving Antwerp, and until now leaving Wolfsburg and PSV. He also worked as an assistant to the coaching staff of the Australian national team.

In the new season of the League of Nations 2026/27, Belgium plays in Division A, where their opponents will be France, Turkey and Italy.
