Ukrainians are massively complaining about the shortage of Ukrzaliznytsia tickets at the height of the summer season, but the company explains that it is impossible to quickly increase the number of trains. The reason is that the carriages of most European countries are technically incompatible with the Ukrainian railway, and new rolling stock in Ukraine is produced by only one plant, the capabilities of which are physically limited.

Representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia spoke about this on the Threads social network in response to a post by one of the users. One of the users asked why the carrier does not turn to European countries with a request to provide additional passenger cars if they are so lacking.

The company responded that such an idea is practically unfeasible in practice.. The reason is that the passenger rolling stock of most European Union (EU) countries is not compatible with the Ukrainian railway system. In particular, the cars differ:.
