The Ukrainian Football Association has officially introduced the Prime League - a new elite division of women's football, which will become the closest peer to the national championship.

All clubs that successfully passed certification and were denied the right to participate in the new tournament were allowed to enter the debut season: Kolos, Kryvbas, Ladomir, Metalist 1925, Panther, Polissia, Sisters and Shakhtar.

The championship is held at the same stake using the classic system “at home - on the go”. The team will play 28 matches, and the total number of matches in the season will be 112.

Start of a new tournament planning for June 17, 2026. Before the winter break, the teams can play 17 rounds, and the championship will end at the end of 2027.

For season bags, the club in whichever place remains the same, fly directly to the lower division. The new team will play transitional matches for the right to retain their place in Prime Lisa.

The UAF says that the creation of a new tournament may involve an increase in the level of competition, the development of women's football and the closer structure of the Ukrainian championship to the latest European models.
