Sergey Palkin spoke out about the situation with the limit on foreign players for the new UPL season.

General Director of Donetsk Shakhtar Sergey Palkin commented on the decision of the UAF to liberalize the limit on foreign players in the UPL, which allows clubs to immediately release one foreign player and one citizen with a Ukrainian passport onto the field.

" Such a discussion itself is currently heating up around the upcoming Ukrainian football.

Over the rest of the country, the Ukrainian Football Association has carried out great and, especially important, truly valuable work on the creation of minds for Ukrainian football players at European championships. In conclusion, Ukraine opens the possibility for football players from European Union countries to enter our championship without the status of foreign players. This is a clear example of the movement forward, integration and strategic decisions that will change the status quo.

The UAF Vice-Governing Committee praised the importance of the decision to immediately put three Ukrainian football players on the field, due to the special situation in our country. And yet, through the songs of exchange, our inhabitants cannot yet reclaim peace from Europe.. We encourage the election vector and understand the need for progressive and balanced reform.

However, this approach has its opponents. Low number of UPL clubs on the side of Dynamo stands for saving the current state of speeches without any changes and without pressure on reforms.

Today, an initiative is being discussed to establish a formal rule, similar to any football, in which those holding a passport of the European Union are not respected by foreign players in the Ukrainian championship.

Instead of looking for ways to increase the competitiveness of the championship, an improvement in the position of Ukrainian clubs in Europe and the creation of minds for the development of football players, we recommend saving the old model, based on. There is a need to revise the limit on foreign players to the latest format - no more than seven foreign football players on the field at any one time - and in keeping with the proper European principle, given the size of the countries.

Shakhtar is categorically against such a.

Today, if there is a decision that preserves the orderly system and overcomes changes, it means a collapse back. Here's the way to nowhere. This will turn Ukrainian football around, by closing the system again, and instead of open competition, there will be artificial exchanges.

The main argument of the supporters of saving the front limit is good news. They confirm that such exchanges are necessary for the development of Ukrainian football players and, as a result, for raising the level of the national team.

However, whether such a statement can be confirmed by practical results.

Over the five remaining world championships, starting from 2010, the Ukrainian national team has repeatedly failed to qualify for the final part of the tournament. At the same time, during this very period, I would like twenty-two different European teams to take part in world championships.. As if between the established limit on foreign players and the success of the national team, having a direct connection, it would inevitably manifest itself in sports results. However, the facts about bed sores are clear: the demarcation system, which operated for many years, did not provide the effect for which it was created.

Today Ukraine occupies just 25th place in the UEFA club odds table. In this situation, the key to this situation is not to protect the obvious boundaries, but to search for mechanisms that will allow Ukrainian football to once again reach the top ten strongest associations in Europe. This is probably the answer to the creation of new administrative barriers.

The history of world sports makes it clear that competition itself is the main ruin of development. It promotes the championship, accelerates the progress of football players, encourages academies to thoroughly prepare young people, promotes opportunities for coaches and management, and also makes the tournament more attractive for. Piece exchanges, however, tend to reduce the intensity of the competitive environment and sometimes become a source of long-term progress.

It is significant that the President of FC Shakhtar Rinat Akhmetov holds a similar position. After the rapid strengthening of Paris Saint-Germain and large-scale investments, in an interview with The Guardian, he was asked how to change the regulation of European football in such a way as to individually limit the possibilities of the French club. He was inspired to support such an idea, having said that development could not be ensured by the way of individual easing of the strongest. The only way to achieve success is to become the strongest yourself and meet the latest competition standards. This very philosophy today is of fundamental importance for Ukrainian football.

Unfortunately, the approach that is being promoted today is based on the same logic. Instead of increasing the power of power-driven robots, we hope to reduce the level of competition. Instead of upgrading the academy, developing coaching methods and increasing the effectiveness of management, it is aimed at maintaining the system of exchange, which can compensate for moisture deficiencies.

It is important to call this approach current. It reflects the philosophy of administrative regulation, for which developments are achieved not only by the creation of the brightest minds, but by the way of sharing the capabilities of other market participants.

Ukraine has already made its civilizational choice. This choice lies in European integration, open economy, fair competition and sustainable development to promote power.. It is logical that these principles themselves should underlie the development of Ukrainian football.

That's why today's discussion is not without its due diligence. Vaughn is worried about choosing a model for the development of Ukrainian football. Either we continue to collapse in the European way, based on competition and openness, or we are turning to the philosophy of administrative fences, which has repeatedly demonstrated its impossibility.

Either we fearfully look back, we are nostalgic for the 70s and 80s of the last century, but we are bravely changing the rules and collapsing to the civilized world, to the open and competitive football economy. We do not become stronger by weakening others, but we compete with the strongest and there is a foreseeable increase in power.

If the closest UPL proceedings are expected to be taken before the correct decisions are praised, Shakhtar reserves the right to punish such actions in court.

Don’t be afraid of competition and don’t drag Ukrainian football back from the Radyansky Union,” Palkin’s press service said to the club.

Previously, Polissian President Gennady Butkevich spoke on the topic of legionnaires in the UPL.
