The right winger of Spain Lamin Yamal was recognized as the best performer in the match against Austria in the 1/16 finals of the World Cup 2026 playoffs.

The Spaniards beat the Austrians (3:0) at the Los Angeles Stadium in the USA. Yamal entered the field from the first Khvylins, winning before being replaced in the 85th.

" Several times he was close to the capture and during the entire match he took the patients out of the place,” reports the official FIFA website.

It is respectful that Spain has scored more than one goal in a playoff match for the first time since 1994.
