According to the Pitmen's official website, before starting work, the club's sports director Dario Srna and head coach Arda Turan spoke with the players, who, in particular, introduced the players to the training plan for the summer off-season.

Then the players organized a “corridor of honor” for newcomers: Ukrainian Alexander Karavaev, Venezuelan Gleiker Mendoza, as well as Brazilians Ryan Roberto and Bruninho.

It is noted that as part of Shakhtar, Karavaev chose the 20th game number, Mendoza - 77th, Roberto - 71st, and Bruninho - 99th.
