Former enemies.

The photo shows a meeting between the Chief Commander of the UPA Vasily Kuk and Andrzej Zhupansky, head of the Volyn district of the World Union of AK Warriors (Lutsk, 1996). They were able to meet, talk, hear each other.

The following is the text in the original language. From the birth of Vasil Kuk from Izabella Chruslinska and Piotr Tyma in 2001:.

– From today’s perspective, how do you assess the conflict with the Poles – and the conflict, which received significant forces from both sides, in your opinion, drawing on the result of the struggle for Ukrainian independence?

– We were informed that Poland had established the status of the Radyansky Union, about which our authors wanted to write. We respected that the USSR's plan was to transform Poland into another Radian republic. Therefore, they were assured of the possibility of creating a military front with the Poles against the Bolsheviks. Our propaganda activities, leaflets, attempts at negotiations, however, did not bring positive results. The UPA command was confident in the possibility of a vigorous struggle, but did not want to be convinced by the plan of creating an independent power on the ethnographic Ukrainian lands. The Poles also did not want to be seen near our lands; the ties initiated by the Poles were unpleasant for us.

After the war, the Radian government was the main party, isolated from the settled Ukrainian population, and the Poles eagerly began to help the Radyansky Russia, from the resettlement to the USSR and the operation " I respect that the Polish government is guilty of its mother’s duty to correct the wrongdoings, to condemn this action, to help these hanged within the framework of Operation Vistula, if they want to turn around.

– Europe seems to be in trouble, as the great enemies began to fraternize and fraternize. You have been asked to take part in the seminar “Poland – Ukraine: important nutrition”, which was held in Lutsk. Your presence in the hall raised protests on the side of Home Army veterans. How do you evaluate the possibility of dialogue between those who, during the rocks of war, shot at each other

– In my speech at the end of one of the sessions, as well as behind the scenes, I tried to present our arguments, explain what happened before the conflict. The Polish participants, I developed such enmity, were very respectful that during the war it was the Poles who suffered the most, and they were slaughtered. They didn’t want to, brothers, to the point that in many troubles the Poles themselves ended up in such a conflict, and not in any other way..

I tried to say that no matter what happened, it’s history, and we have more important food before us - what next How will I be in the future In my opinion, there is a lot of truth in the assertion that a strong Poland cannot be established without a truly free Ukraine. The warlords between our peoples and powers have crumbled and empires have crumbled - Russia and Germany.

With such a guy, I tried to talk not only about history, but also about the future prospects of Polish-Ukrainian wines. It seemed to me that the Polish side understood my position.

However, it is even more complex, even from the Polish side, voices are murmured about the prevalence of the duty in Ukrainians who bear the blame for the conflict and victims in Volina and in Galicia.

In my opinion, Poland still has strong anti-Ukrainian sentiments. I respect that they are warmly warmed up more than once. I would like to remind you about the lower table near Przemysl, at the great Greek Catholic Cathedral, where the trident - the historical coat of arms of Ukraine - was placed with a swastika and a special inscription was added. In my opinion, most Polish historians focus on the nutrition of Polish-Ukrainian relations and mutual conflicts to preserve objectivity and show the complexity of current ideas. In the future there will be an image of a Ukrainian fascist and collaborator, who bears the main blame for the Ukrainian-Polish conflict. These trend assessments threaten to discredit the Ukrainian national free movement.
