Scotland senior John McGinn was named as the best finisher in the first round match of the 2026 World Cup against Haiti.

The 31-year-old midfielder became the main hero of the team, scoring the only goal of the match. In the first half, McGinn wasted away with his moment and ensuring the Scots had a minimal victory with a 1:0 lead.

Following a successful start to the tournament, the Scottish team topped the tournament table in Group C. In the other match, the quartet of teams from Brazil and Morocco did not have much of a hand, winning 1:1.
