Former Fulham coach Marco Silva, who is to take over as Benfica head coach instead of Jose Mourinho, has decided on the fate of Ukrainian midfielder Georgiy Sudakov.

According to CNN Portugal, the Portuguese specialist is counting on the 23-year-old Ukrainian next season and wants to keep him in the team.

According to the source, the coach has already notified the management of the Lisbon club of his intention, asking not to sell the Ukrainian midfielder under any circumstances.

It is emphasized that Silva’s position coincides with the opinion of the board of directors headed by the President of the Eagles, Rui Costa, who is not going to part with the key players of the team.

As you know, this season Sudakov played 36 matches for Benfica in all tournaments, scoring four goals and making five assists.

Earlier it was reported that Sudakov is determined to remain in Benfica regardless of the club’s decisions.
