Femidi's representative gave a comment before the great game.

The UEFA Champions League final in Budapest between French Paris Saint-Germain and London's Arsenal will be the first match of this level under UEFA for 42-man German head referee Daniel Siebert..

This referee has previously refereed two matches at Euro 2024 and three at Euro 2020, as well as nine Champions League matches this season.

Previously, Siebert got to a series of interviews with participants in the upcoming duel about his current season and about how important it is for new referees to referee the Champions League final.

“It was truly a welcome moment, and, with the situation cleared, I enjoyed it together with my squad, which was with me when I called Roberto Rosetti, UEFA Director of Judicial Nutrition. Having met the Guchnomovets, we were deeply offended.

Roberto greeted me and my team, and said that we deserved for the final, which was a very emotional moment.. You never hear that phone ringing, but you always know that at the end of the season there will be some kind of great finale..

I am also very happy for my assistants Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltin, and especially for Bastian Danckert, who now has a record of all possible finals as a VAR assistant. We all worked professionally at once in order to reach the highest possible level and the majesty of the city.

I feel like I'm having a good season. First of all, what I’m surprised at is the number of matches, so I’m glad to be in this top group with nine games in the summer of 2019 at the same time.

After which, for me, an important sign is a good fight with gravels, so that they trust me, they understand and accept my decisions.

I had a casting injury in the middle of the season, so I’m complaining, because you don’t know how fast you are, or you’re about to end the season without reaching the climax. However, the doctors did a great job so that I could return to form again, that’s why it’s sacred and for them it’s the same.

My first playoff match was Bude/Glimti against Inter in a fierce one, and from that hour I realized that I was in a good rhythm and without having to pay any serious rewards. Also, unimportant for a few months, I’m still more satisfied.

Refereeing the Champions League final will be my greatest achievement, so I am very happy, but I still have to approach the game with great modesty.

In fact, I no longer contribute to civil life; I should be a professional judge and father of two of my children, or, perhaps, when I turn around.

A great advantage for me was working in a sports school and having a lot of contacts with talented football players from my youth.

This season I have judged two great students who became Bundesliga champions in Germany - Linton Main from Cologne and Fisnika Asllan from Hoffenheim. By the hour of the matches, these boys were still calling me “Mr. Siebert” in the same official manner as they used to talk to their readers before, but I had to chant them, which is no longer needed!

New protocol that removes the captain's right to speak with the referee? So, it’s definitely of little importance in this season. I think that there are small amounts of time in the short run, and I cannot evaluate the influx in non-professional leagues, but on the most equal level it was effective.

Although I would never have serious problems today, if I was an arbiter on the local level, I am confident that this is also the case for amateur judges.

After I had given up the news about my confession, I didn’t have much time for holy celebrations or thoughts, as on the last day of the domestic season there was an important Bundesliga match.

After which I was able to relax for a little while, and then the most important task was to get over it so that I was psychologically and physically fresh and ready for the 30th of May..

We have a lot of training to get through the jump so that we are in good physical shape, otherwise we won’t do anything special except for the final.

I, of course, will apologize, if I have good control over my emotions and focus on what I need to work on, then I am confident that I can enjoy the match and not inflict too much pressure on myself.

After the game, I’m singing that more emotions will come to me, and I’m confident that the team can fade away from a good performance,” said the German referee.

The match PSG - Arsenal will take place on May 30th, at 19:00.
