Ukraine, during a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Helsingborg, Sweden, received new commitments from partners to contribute to the PURL initiative. This was stated by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, Ukrinform reported on Saturday, May 23.
" I will not disclose specific amounts and countries yet, announcements will come later. In addition, another source of funding has been unlocked, thanks to which it will be possible to cover another part of the needs within the framework of PURL,” he noted.
Sibiga added that given the scale of Russian terror, work to fill the PURL continues, and Ukraine calls on partners for continued support.
The Foreign Minister expressed gratitude to all allies who make critical contributions to PURL, NATO for administering this program, and Alliance Secretary General Mark Rutte for his work in filling it.
Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Ukraine receives 90% of air defense missiles through PURL.
It was also reported that for 2025 the total amount of contributions under the PURL initiative amounted to $4.3 billion. The filling of new aid packages is currently ongoing.
PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) is a joint US-NATO program launched in 2025 to expedite the delivery of critical American-made weapons and equipment to Ukraine.. Partner countries finance procurement according to Ukraine's priority list of needs, coordinating contributions through a special NATO fund. This allows you to quickly obtain the necessary weapons, including missiles for Patriot and HIMARS, directly from US Army warehouses. As of the end of 2025, 24 countries have joined the program.
