Ukrainian singer Yulia Rai, who gained fame in the 2000s thanks to the hit “Dvichi You Can’t Enter the Same River,” appeared in public for the first time in a long time. The artist performed as the opening act for the Kalush Orchestra during a concert in Australia.

A video from the performance was distributed in the community “What do you know about Bobul”. In the released footage, Yulia Rai performs her most famous songs – “Richka” (“You won’t go into the same river”) and “You will love me.”.

She was the one who opened the concert: “Look who opened for Kalush Orchestra in Australia. Yulia Rai got married and emigrated more than 15 years ago."

The post recalled that in the 2000s her compositions were regularly played at discos.

Yulia Rai was active on stage from 1998 to 2009. The peak of its popularity came in the mid-2000s, when the song “Richka” became one of the most famous hits of that time. At the same time, the performer herself does not hide the fact that she is often called “the singer of one song.”.

In 2009, the artist married an Australian citizen and moved there from Ukraine. Abroad, she continued to make music for some time and participated in talent shows, however, according to her, show business did not become a stable source of income.

Subsequently, Yulia Rai changed her field of activity and began working in social assistance to people in difficult life circumstances, but continues to live in Australia. During this time, changes also occurred in her personal life: she divorced her first husband and subsequently met a new partner.

Recently, the singer, who has not appeared in public for more than 15 years, has decided to return to creativity and is releasing new songs in her “home studio.”. She notes that she does not aim to achieve great popularity, but does not want to give up music.

Yulia Rai explained her decision by saying that she considers it wrong to ignore her own talent, even if her career did not work out as expected.

“I read that if the Lord gave you a talent, and you bury it in the ground, this is a great sin. I buried my talent, and it’s so ugly. I have to get him. You didn't become a superstar? Well, it all went to hell! I have songs that people love. I took a different path and made myself independent. Maybe I’ll write a good song, maybe not,” said the singer.
