FIFA President Gianni Infantino spoke of the need for a strong fight against racism in football, reports AS.

" We can fight it with all our strength. We are living in 2026 years - it is not possible to discriminate against anyone through those who are famous.. In football, racism has no basis, and there is no justification for its tolerance. Zero tolerance,” said Infantino.

The FIFA President also clarified that those who cover their mouths with their hands to extinguish racist images, after collecting evidence, remove them from the field:.

" If there is a disciplinary incident, we can analyze the situation and evidence, otherwise we can no longer accept the old justification."

Apparently, UEFA had previously filed an appeal from Benfica to disqualify senior player Gianluca Prestianni after the Champions League 1/16 final match against Real Madrid, the striker. Prestianni himself shut down any racist words, and the club was sensitive to the confirmation of these calls.
