Defending Ukraine, a soldier from the Dnepropetrovsk region Maxim Elchanin died. He served in the Zaporozhye direction, his life was cut short on February 24, 2026 near the village of Rizdvyanka, Zaporozhye region. The hero remained forever 20 years old.

The loss was reported by the Telegram channel “On the Hour: Krivoy Rog”. It is noted that the defender served in the Kodak brigade as an operator of unmanned aerial vehicles of the 3rd crew of the BpAK platoon of the 7th battalion.

Maxim Elchanin was born on May 16, 2005 in the village of Elizavetovka. There he spent his childhood - he studied at a local school, took his first steps in life and formed his character. After 9th grade I entered VPTU No. 22 in the city of Kamenskoye.

The Hero's loved ones remember him as generous, open and good-natured.. " He knew how to make friends, defend his position and always remained real,” local media noted..

When the time came for a choice, Maxim Elchanin signed a contract and joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine: “He served where a cold mind, precision and endurance were needed, he proved himself to be a courageous and reliable warrior.”.

It also became known that a soldier from the Odessa region Anatoly Zhemchugov died in a battle with the invaders in Zaporozhye. He joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2022, was wounded, but after recovery returned to the front line.
