The PFU explained that assistance can be received by the mother or other legal representative of the child (except for adoptive parents, parent-educators and representatives of institutions performing the functions of guardians or trustees), who actually cares for the child until he reaches one year of age, if the application for such assistance was received no later than the month following the child’s one-year birthday.

“If on January 1, 2026, the child is under one year old, the mother or other legal representative of the child, who actually cares for the child until he reaches one year of age, has the right from this date to receive monthly state assistance for caring for the child until he reaches one year of age, if the application for such assistance was received no later than the month following the child’s reaching one year of age,” the statement says..

The Fund noted that in 2026, assistance in caring for a child until he reaches one year of age is provided in the amount of UAH 7,000 per month, and in the case of such assistance in caring for a child with a disability in the amount of UAH 10,500.
