Saudi Arabian Al-Shabaab announced the dismissal of head coach Imanol Alguacil. The decision was praised after a series of poor results, culminating in a crushing 2-5 defeat of Al-Ahli.

The Basque footballer won the team after the end of last season, having lost Real Sociedad. However, it was not possible for him to gain a foothold in the championship of Saudi Arabia - unstable performances made it difficult for the club to make personnel changes.

According to local officials, among the main candidates for the vacant seat are Gus Poyet and Valid Regragi.
