Lecce achieved a significant victory over Udinese with a 2:1 win, breaking the trival streak without goals and escaping from the villiota zone. The key moments were Omri Gandelman's debut goal and Lameck Bundy's breakthrough free kick at the end of the match.

Eusebio Di Francesco's team was in a difficult situation after a series with more than two points in eight rounds. The problems in the attack were especially acute: in the remaining nine matches, Lecce scored only two goals, and Francesco Camarda and Medon Berisha were recovering from injuries.
