Ukrainians can also apply for divorce through the “Electronic Court”.
“The application there is not generated electronically, but, roughly speaking, a person creates it independently, signs it with an electronic digital signature, downloads it and sends it using the Electronic Court system,” explained Ryabukha.
The Deputy Minister indicated that, as part of a separate proceeding, a couple can divorce without visiting court and not attend the divorce online if one of the spouses requests this and they do not have a dispute over determining the place of residence of their common children. Ryabukha calls this not an automatic service, but a manual design.
She also indicates that courts must send their decisions on divorce to the State Register of Civil Status Acts, which would compile divorce records and enter them into the registers.
Olga Ryabukha also told how online marriage takes place in “Diya”.
