They said goodbye to a compatriot who died in battle with the enemy in Vinnitsa on December 4. Sergei Zhuk was born in Vinnitsa on February 17, 1997. Studied at Lyceum No. 2 and Technical Lyceum, received a specialty in radio engineering at Vinnitsa Technical Vocational College. Graduated from Vinnitsa National Agrarian University. Sergei Zhuk (alias " The young Ukrainian defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 3rd separate assault brigade, performed combat missions as an anti-aircraft gunner of an anti-aircraft missile platoon. The defender went through fierce battles for the Kherson region and Zaporozhye, fought with the Russians near Kleshcheevka, Bakhmut and Andreevka. He fought valiantly: for courage, courage and successful completion of combat missions he received the rank of sergeant and was awarded a number of high state awards. Among them are the distinction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine " Sergei Zhuk was the only child in the family. The warrior’s mother, Irina, told Suspilny that her son almost never talked to his family about the war. " When I cried because of the dead, he only said: “Mom, this is war. People die in war,” the woman said.
Already during the great war, Sergei created his own family: in 2022 he married his beloved Victoria. The warrior's wife also serves as a combat medic in the Unmanned Systems Forces..
And Sergei, says his mother, dreamed of a peaceful life with his wife.
" Didn't complain. Didn't ask for anything. “Mom, I’m fine” was his answer to my questions. And when he said this “Mom, I’m fine,” I felt that this man was a real, courageous, strong warrior. His final exit was his last. I often told him: son, you are my soul. Now where the soul was is empty, it has been torn out, and nothing will ever fill this emptiness. The 28-year-old warrior took his last battle near the village of Stepovoe, Izyum district, Kharkov region, on November 27. He was buried in Vinnitsa, on the Walk of Fame of the Sabarovsky Cemetery. It also became known that a combat medic from the Kyiv region, Artem Gutsol, died at the front..
