UEFA has officially joined the Coalition Against Piracy (CAP) and the Center for Combating Copyright Infringement on the Internet (CUII) to help protect its content in key markets and expand.

Having become a member of CAP, the anti-piracy group of the Asian Video Industry Association (AVIA), UEFA has emphasized its commitment to protecting the content and rights of partners from broadcasts in the region. The organization coordinates the blocking of pirated sites, cooperates with the orders and postal service providers, and also provides specialized surveillance and information for effective control over the abuse of rights..

UEFA also plans to actively cooperate with the German independent anti-piracy organization CUII, which unites sports rights authorities, media companies and Internet providers. The Center promotes effective blocking of websites in Germany and a thorough legal framework for the protection of content.

According to UEFA representatives, this is part of the organization’s broad anti-piracy strategy, aimed at protecting the commercial interests of allied bodies and broadcast partners in all tournaments.

Previously, FIFA revealed over 30 thousand images in social media in 2025.
