Bayer Leverkusen's flanker Alejandro Grimaldo has lost the interests of two European top clubs - Barcelona and Bayern Munich, reports Marca.

For a 30-year-old footballer, the priority option is to return to Spain. Due to the fate of Grimaldo, Real Madrid was transferred, but the transfer never materialized.

During the current season, he scored seven goals and provided four assists in 15 matches for Bayer in all tournaments. Grimaldo's contract runs until the summer of 2027, and his transfer fee is estimated at 30 million euros.

Grimaldo is a Barcelona graduate: he started in the Catalan academy from 2008 to 2012 and played for Barcelona until 2015. Prote for the first team of the venerable champions of Spain, the football player has never played a match.
