Let us note that today, November 15, the “Winter Support” program was launched, within the framework of which Ukrainians can receive another “free” 1000 UAH. The payment, like previous similar initiatives of the president and government, is one-time. You can apply for assistance, as the government calls it, for both yourself and your child. Ukrainians will be able to use funds under the Winter Support program until June 30, 2026.

However, according to media reports, the Cabinet of Ministers does not have enough money to finance President Vladimir Zelensky’s “Winter Support” program, so the government plans to finance it by reducing spending on programs for social protection of children and support for low-income families. In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers proposes to reduce expenditures under the “Social Protection of Children and Family” program by UAH 3.042 billion, and funding for the “Support for Low-Income Families” program by UAH 1.483 billion. Thus, UAH 4.526 billion will be “found” to finance “thousands of Zelensky”.
