The senior player of the national team of Ukraine Georgiy Sudakov will miss the final match of the sixth round of qualifying for the World Cup 2026 against Iceland. This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the UAF.

Sudakov was included before the national team’s application for the fall matches in the selection, but in the match against France (0:4) the midfielder was left on the bench. After the game, it became clear that the football player had lost his hair.

Through the injury of Sudak, he was reluctant to leave the national team and return to the club, where he would go further for celebration and renewal..

Georgy made his debut for the national team in 2021 in a friendly match against Bahrain, which ended in a 1:1 draw. He played 32 matches for the Ukrainian football team, scoring four goals.

In the current selection, the midfielder played in three matches: against France (0:2), Azerbaijan (1:1), where he scored a goal, and also in the first match against Iceland (5:3). Todi Vin left the field early due to a hand injury.

Sudakov is on the lookout for Ukraine’s single personnel loss before the match against Iceland, which will become pivotal in the fight for progress to the playoff qualification for the ChS-2026.
