Arsenal are actively working on recruiting Napoli head scout Maurizio Micheli to their team. According to Football Italia, the Premier League club plans to give the 57-strong Italian a key role in the recruitment department. Negotiations remain at the stuck stage.

Micheli is credited with inventing such talents as Marek Hamsik, Kim Min Je and Khvicha Kvaratskheliya. Previously he worked as a scout in Udinese and as the sports director of Brescia. First, Miqueli joined the Napoli scout circuit in 2010, having spent five years there, after which he tried himself with Verona and Bologna, and in 2018 he turned to the Neapolitans.

This is not the first thing for Miqueli to connect with the exit. In 2024, Juventus has lost its position in Napoli.

It was previously reported that Declan Rice was on Real Madrid's shortlist.
