The draft state budget for 2026 plans money for the purchase of 100 railway cars worth about UAH 5.7 billion, among which will be the first modern double-decker passenger car. This was reported by the Ministry of Finance with reference to Deputy Minister Alexander Kava.

“The cost of servicing single- and double-decker cars differs by about 10%, while the number of seats in a double-decker car increases by almost 80%.
