18-year-old Ukrainian striker Dmitro Bogdanov played his first match for the head team Union Berlin and immediately lost his mark on the team.
29 June in the 1/16 final of the Nimechchin Cup against Armenia Bogdanov Viyshov was substituted in the 67th century for the 1:1 draw, replacing Andriy Ilic. The main hour ended in a draw, and the match continued at the additional hour.
On the 106th game, Bogdanov gave an assist to Danilo Duki, who scored the winning goal. Finally, Union Berlin defeated Armenia with a 2:1 score and advanced to the 1/8 finals of the German Cup.
For the young Ukrainian this is his debut for the first team of the club. In the current season 2025/26, Bogdanov has already played 6 matches in the German U-19 Championship, scoring 10 goals. Previously, he played for junior teams and the first team of Dresden after moving from Dynamo Kiev in 2022.
“It’s a fantastic achievement to help the team win such an important match. I’m already happy and I hope to continue to live with the same soul,” Bogdanov commented on his debut.
