In Barcelona's last meeting in La Liga, head coach Hansi Flick received two yellow cards during the match against Girona.
Now the German coach will be absent from Barcelona's match with Real Madrid, which will take place on October 26.
Barcelona management filed a complaint with the disciplinary committee of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). In the letter, the club from Catalonia indicated that the text of the protocol did not correspond to the actual course of events and asked to cancel Flick’s warning, but the appeal was rejected.
“The request for the cancellation of the two yellow cards that are the subject of this appeal is rejected and, accordingly, the disciplinary consequences resulting from the sending off of Hans-Dieter Flick in the form of a one-match ban must remain in force,” the RFEF responded to the Catalan club.
Let us remind you that the match between Barcelona and Girona ended in victory for the Catalan club with a score of 2:1.
