On Wednesday, October 1, 48 citizens arrived in Ukraine, who were evacuated from the GAZ sector, reports Suprilna. The evacuation was organized by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine (GUR) together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Ministry).

It is known that 57 people evacuated from the gas sector, 48 of them - Ukrainians. The decision was made by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and GUR were responsible for the implementation of the operation. Help was also provided by Embassies of Israel, Jordan and Moldova.

Recall that in February the GUR already evacuated people from the Gaza Strip. This happened a few months after the Hamas attack on Israel. From the very beginning, the Gur coordinated all the risks.

The GUR special forces also conducted a number of operations to save people in Kabul in Afghanistan. The GUR military personnel went beyond the perimeter of the airport, found people from the evacuation list and accompanied them to a safe place.

In addition, the GUR team, together with the Foreign Ministry, took 176 people from Israel. In addition to Ukrainians, citizens of Moldova, Latvia, Azerbaijan and the USA were also evacuated.
