The International Hockey Federation announced changes in world championships in all divisions below the elite, starting with the World Cup 2027.

According to reports, in the second in rank the division will remain six teams, but they will be divided into two groups of three teams.

It is noted that each team will play three matches with participants in the neighboring group, and two strongest teams from each group will enter the semifinals and continue the struggle to increase in the classroom.

Meanwhile, the worst teams from both groups will play two matches for the release. Recall that the new format and regulations will also affect division 1a, where the Ukrainian team is acting.
