Valery Kharchishin’s frontman of the RIKA friend rarely speaks publicly about his family, but recently shared frank thoughts about his eldest son Dmitry, who serves in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In an interview with the YouTube channel, Marichka Padalko, the musician shared that the guy is currently completing officer courses, and before that he worked as a sapper - he laid and neutralized explosives, in particular in strategic directions.

" They do a good job and have done a lot. Many bridges were destroyed with our northern neighbors. Now the work in the army is quite dangerous, because it is work with explosives. Although he teaches and he ends the officer courses himself, ”the artist said.

Kharchishin admits that Dmitry is not easy to emotionally survive. He tried not to call his son often so as not to crush him. At a certain moment, Dmitry even doubted his role in the army, but then both decided to take a pause in communication. Now the father does not know the part where his son, nor his command serves - and this, says, a conscious choice, so as not to create corruption risks.

" He finally finishes officer courses from the beginning of 2025. I don't know how I would survive if I knew that he was at zero. I tried to call him rarely, did not want to influence, to interfere with him, because I still think that he made the right decision. And when he once regretted it, because he felt that he was not needed there, I even tried to talk to him, invite him to somehow leave the army, but we stopped in time: he and I and I and I and I. We stopped talking. He stayed with himself, I myself. I don't know which part he is in, I don't know his commander. I have never talked with him, ”Kharchishin explained.

The star gave an example when at some point Dmitry was transferred to the headquarters in Zhitomir and the guy was angry, suspecting the intervention from his father. Although Kharchishin assures that he has nothing to do with the decision of the army. According to Valery, the reason for the translation was probably the fear that the son of a public person could be captured and become an object for trading.

" If he is captured somewhere, then perhaps there will be some kind of auction. I don't know, I think so. Perhaps this is not in the army now. And he called me or wrote that he was taken to the headquarters in Zhitomir from the work that he did, and he was a sapper. And it was very angry. He thought that I had taken care of him and he was transferred to the headquarters. And in order to avoid such provocations, not to create moments for corruption, I do not know his commander and what to do in order to provide him with a calm stay there. But all the same, I say frankly that if I found out that after a while he would appear at zero or at a hot point, I tried to stop him at least with conversations if he had expressed his desire, ”the performer added.
