Russia is trying to oust the United States out of peaceful negotiations to show its leadership. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing on April 22, reports Ukrinform.

According to Zelensky, Moscow is not ready for what Ukraine is ready for, and the Kremlin is sure that Ukraine is not ready for quick, correct and strong steps.

“When they throw us some kind of reproach regarding conversations, I believe that they push America out of negotiations to show their leadership. This is what is happening. We react to this like this: I think that America is a real leader; We want them to participate; We want them to put pressure on Russia, ”Zelensky noted.

Recall that the president said that Ukraine is ready for negotiations with Russia in any format after the ceasefire.

Earlier, the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin called for bilateral negotiations with Ukraine on the mutual termination of blows to civilian facilities.
