Recent excavations at this place under the leadership of Professor Dr. Mehmet Oppolas from the Department of Archeology of the University of Harraran discovered significant remnants of a grandiose cathedral more than 50 meters long.

During excavations, archaeologists found golden tesers-small mosaic pieces that were once used to create exquisite wall decorations. These elements, found in the arches and arches of the cathedral, indicate a high level of skill.

The team also identified parts of the northern nave, walls, carved columns and three doors overlooking north - all this contributed to a deeper understanding of the architectural significance of the object.
