Abnormally high temperatures that are now observed are not characteristic of winter. Therefore, the warm winter gradually moved to early spring, but it cannot be said that such phenomena will cause a hot summer. This was told by the head of the Department of Applied Meteorology and Climatology of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Institute of the State Emergency Service Vera Balabukh. Regarding the possible negative consequences of abnormal weather, she indicated that the cooling is still possible.
" And they can harm plants that have already begun to develop, ”the specialist said.
She also added that the precipitation that falls out with about zero degrees contributes to the formation of ice, sticking wet snow, which also poses a danger and can cause damage.
"
According to her, abnormally high temperatures are more characteristic of spring, so the warm winter gradually "
At the same time, she rejected that an abnormally warm winter can affect the air temperature in the summer.
" They depend on different processes. So to say that warm winter will cause a hot summer - you can’t ”.
