Domestic athletes won gold and silver awards in the pursuit race. Bogdan Borkovsky triumphed at a distance of 12.5 km.

The Ukrainian managed to win despite four penalty laps. He was accurate at the first firing line, and then made two, one and another miss, respectively.

Thanks to his speed, Borkovsky “brought” almost half a minute to his compatriot Sergei Suprun. He also missed four times, but was almost five seconds ahead of the Frenchman Paul Fontaine (3 misses).

Now Ukraine has 8 Universiade 2025 medals, including three gold. The lion's share of them - six awards - were won by biathletes. Borkowski won his second gold after winning the short individual race.
