Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslav Maguchy became the champion of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold tournament in Nairobi (Kenya).

The 21-year-old athlete cleared 2 meters and became the first athlete in the world this year to break that mark outdoors..

Maguchih also set a tournament record in Kenya - the previous one was 1.91 meters..

The second place was taken by the British Laura Zianor (1.90 meters), and the bronze of the tournament was won by another Ukrainian Ekaterina Tabashnik (1.86 meters). Yulia Levchenko was fourth (1.86 meters, more attempts), and Marina Kovtunova was eighth (1.78 meters).
