The Ukrainian national team won three awards at the final stage of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup season, which takes place in Egyptian Cairo. The leader of the Ukrainian team, Ilya Kovtun, won gold in floor exercises and became a bronze medalist in pommel horse exercises. In floor exercise, a 19-year-old athlete from Cherkasy became the best with a score of 14.433 points, completing the program with a difficulty factor of 6.2. In the final on the horse, Kovtun shared the third place of the podium with the representative of Armenia Harutyun Merdinyan, both athletes scored 14.566 points each.. The gold medal was won by Lee Chih-kai from Taiwan (15.033) and the silver went to Armenian Gagik Khachikyan (14.733). Another award for the Ukrainian national team was brought by Nazar Chepurnoy, who won silver in the vault, receiving 14.799 points from the judges.. The Ukrainian lost only to the current world champion Armenian Artur Davtyan (15.166 points). The top three winners were closed by the Czech Ondzhey Kalni (14.333).
