The Ukrainian women's team won three medals on the first day of the finals at the 2023 European Freestyle Wrestling Championships, which takes place in Zagreb, Croatia. Silver awards to our country were brought by Oksana Livach (weight category - up to 50 kg), Yulia Tkach-Ostapchuk (up to 59 kg) and Alla Belinskaya (up to 68 kg).

Unfortunately, the Ukrainians lost all three gold finals. Livach lost to former Ukrainian Maria Stadnik, who now represents Azerbaijan. Yulia Tkach-Ostapchuk lost to the current European champion Anastasia Nikita from Moldova, and Alla Belinskaya lost to the bronze medalist of Euro 2022 Yuliana Yaneva from Bulgaria. Another Ukrainian Anastasia Osnyach-Shustova was the last to enter the medal fight, but she lost to Romanian Catalina Aksenta in the bronze medal match..
