The Cabinet of Ministers will settle the possibility of writing off debts for utilities in Melitopol and other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This was announced by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov.
"
According to the mayor, during the year of occupation, energy supply companies of Ukraine continued to accrue money to residents, enterprises and organizations for the BOT for the supply of electricity and its distribution..
"
As an example, the mayor cited the debt on budgetary enterprises of Melitopol, which already amounts to UAH 38 million. And residents, most of whom were evacuated from the occupation, receive thousands of payments.
Fedorov said that following a meeting with Irina Vereshchuk, the Cabinet of Ministers would consider adopting a resolution that would allow utility providers to write off accrued debts and not make accruals until the actual de-occupation of Melitopol and other WTOs.
