The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Friday, April 7, raised the cost of the excise tax stamp for the first time since 2014.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the cost of an excise stamp for alcoholic beverages has increased from 19 kopecks to 35 kopecks, for tobacco products (in particular, electric heated tobacco products (TVEN) and liquids for electronic cigarettes) - from 9 kopecks to 16 kopecks.
The increase is due to an increase in the cost of production, storage and sale of brands.
When calculating the cost of manufacturing excise tax stamps, we took into account, in particular, an increase in the cost of security paper by 2.1 times in 2023 compared to 2022, an increase in the cost of intaglio forms by 56% and an increase in energy prices.
