Electricity consumption in Ukraine on March 31 decreased compared to the previous two days, Ukrenergo reported. Restrictions on electricity consumption apply only in one of the areas.

“Consumption is lower than the previous two days. Electricity generation is sufficient to cover consumption. At the same time, a sufficient reserve of power is maintained in the power system. Electricity imports are insignificant,” the report says..

It is indicated that network restrictions are still in effect in the Zhytomyr region. Consumers are turned off. Moreover, the shutdowns may be slightly larger than yesterday due to a less sunny day and a decrease in the activity of renewable energy sources in the region..

“In other regions, there are no restrictions in Ukrenergo networks that would lead to the need to limit consumption.. The difficult situation with electricity supply remains in the regions along the front line, where settlements are constantly shelled by the Russians and the power supply networks are damaged. Restoring power is complicated by the security situation in these regions,” Ukrenergo added..

On March 30, an agreement on multilateral emergency assistance between Ukrenergo and 15 system operators of the European energy interconnection ENTSO-E came into force.
